The people of the State are aware of the trending falsehood on the social media and some mainstream media that Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu (Samdaddy), the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is purportely forming a covert alliance with Uzodinma to be able to allow him complete his second term, and thereafter hand over to him in 2027.
While this allegation has been earlier refuted and disclaimed, it is therefore necessary to speak once again to further clear the air on rumours trending on the Social media about the purported agreement falsely reached with Hope Uzodinma. It is worthy to let Imo people know that this rumour was developed and orchestrated by Senator Anyanwu's political enemies who are envious and jittery of his rising political profile and chances of defeating APC in the coming November 11, Governorship election. For the purpose of clarity;
This rumour that the PDP Governorship Candidate collected money from Governor Hope Uzodinma and reached an agreement for a smooth transmission of power to him in 2027 is a complete black lie, misleading and hollow. Ray Emeana only peddled this empty allegation to make Uzodinma happy and thereafter collect his remaining balance aimed at going ahead to disrapage innocent individuals. Ray should stop mudslinging!
The truth of the matter is that the rumour was developed with the intention to weaken the morale of Imo electorates already poised to vote out APC and its candidate in the coming election. Imo people should disregard the allegation and do not allow such hoax to deter or discourage them from their determination to oust APC administration in the state.
The joy is that it is gradually becoming very clear on daily basis that such repulsive rumour clearly demonstrates the desperation of Uzodinma and APC to retain power through false propaganda and mischief making. Such tactics is dead on arrival.
Imo people are so wise not to believe such petty and childish fabrication of this destructive tale simply to reduce the level of Senator Anyanwu's acceptance across the three zones of the state. The public should please disregard this misleading and malicious rumour and treat it as a blackmail by the APC to hoodwink Imo people.
It is laughable and unimaginable how any reasonable person would associate Senator Anyanwu with such demeaning and condescending statements disregarding his political pedigree as former Transition Committee Chairman, two term Executive Chairman, two term House of Assembly member, Senator, National Secretary of PDP and Governorship Candidate of the strongest opposition Party in Nigeria.
Investigation showed that the architects and peddlers of this falsehood are obviously threatened by the growing strength of Samdaddy/Jones Safe Imo Mass Movement aimed at sacking the cruel and insensitive government of Hope Uzodinma.
As it has become obvious that the allegation is fake, baseless and of no effect, Imo people should further know that Senator Anyanwu is not running this election under anybody’s sponsorship or form of agreement with anyone other than his promise to the crying masses to restore good governance that will make Imo State Safe Again.
Since Anyanwu does not believe in chariots, his only hope is in God who has seen what Imo people are currently passing through and therefore making urgent preparation to solve it, with the assurance that such anguish and frustrations will be a thing of the past once the PDP and Sam/Jones team takes over after the November 11 Governorship election.
By so doing, we shall be expecting a Safer Imo of our collective dreams!
