National Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Southeast zone, Chief Engr. Teddy IK Obey has said that over five serving and former Governors, Senators, House of Representative and State Assembly members have secretly concluded plans to join the party in few weeks ahead of 2027 elections.
He disclosed that NDC is strategically working assiduously to take over the Presidential seat in the country, adding that their decision to join NDC was triggered by the outcome of the APC just concluded National Convention. He maintained that in few weeks from now, Nigerians would witness the highest political tsunami in the history of democracy in the country.
"NDC is ready to change the political narrative. We are already in touch with some serving and former Governors, Senators, House of Representative and State Assembly members on the need to build a country that would thrive on sustainable economy" he said.
Chief Obey, a Deacon of the Most High further revealed that NDC is well positioned especially, in the Southeast to offer Ndigbo the needed leadership the APC, APGA, PDP and the Labour Party did not give to them.
He called on Ndigbo to immediately utilize the opportunity of the ongoing E-registration to register as the only measure to participate in the organized plot to sack President Almed Bola Tinubu and his party from power.
According to him, "the NDC is a new party without dent. Our primary objective is to give Nigerians the best of governance. From Ward, LGA, States and National levels, NDC is represented by credible individuals who had played major roles in various areas of the economy for the improvement of the society"
Chief Obey further advised Nigerians to resist any act to induce them to go against their consciences in the 2027 elections, expressing optimism that with unity of purpose and dedication to the ideals of NDC, no pressure from the ruling party or political desparado would wittle the urge to save the society from its current economy downturn.
