For some time now, I've noticed the deafening silence of the Federal House of Representatives member representing Ideato Nation, Hon Ugochinyere Ikenga.

This is one man who was always appearing in front of one camera lens after another and speaking into one microphone after the other, about his dislike for the Imo State governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma.

All of a sudden, Ikenga is silent. What is going on?

Even to follow his party's governorship candidate, Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Samdaddy) to campaign grounds, despite being appointed the Director General of the campaign, Ikenga has suddenly gone AWOL.

Has Ikenga, who have never really liked Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Samdaddy), who was directly or indirectly the architect of he (Ikenga's) recent tribunal woos, finally abandoning ship like his loyalist Onwuasoanya FCC Jones recently did?

Jones who was a spokesman of the Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Samdaddy) campaign, publicly tendered his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP candidate's campaign council and has since shown inclination of backing the All Progressives Congress APC candidate, Governor Hope Uzodimma.

Jones is a notable supporter of Ugochinyere Ikenga and is believed to have agreed to work for the SamJones Campaign Organisation, after a truce was reached between Samdaddy and Ugochinyere who were not seeing eye to eye with each other, following the drama that enveloped the party during the primaries and is today, threatening Ugochinyere's continued stay in the Green Chamber.

There are speculations that Ikenga may have mended fences with Governor Hope Uzodimma, who he had been at loggerheads with for some time and was probably why his loyalist, Jones have suddenly developed a liking for Uzodimma, despite coming out heatedly in the past against Uzodimma, like his principal used to do before his recent silence.

If this is the most recent members of the SamJones Campaign Organisation to abandon ship barely days to the election, will there be more surprising defections and abandonments in store for Samdaddy as the election deadline draws closer?
