Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed his delight after playing a decisive role in Celtic’s qualification for the Scottish Cup final, DAILY POST reports.

The Nigerian forward came off the bench to score twice in extra time as Celtic powered to a commanding 6–2 victory over St Mirren.

With the brace, Iheanacho has now taken his tally to six goals across all competitions for the Hoops this season.

Celtic had taken the lead on two occasions during regulation time, but St Mirren fought back to force the encounter into extra time. Iheanacho, however, proved to be the difference-maker, delivering a match-winning performance to seal an emphatic win for the Glasgow side.

“I can’t really describe how I feel at the moment. I’m really happy. Obviously, there was a little bit of panic in the second half when they got the goals,” the 29-year-old told Celtic TV.

Celtic will now face Dunfermline Athletic in the final, scheduled for Saturday, May 23.
