National Vice Chairman, Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for Southeast, Chief Engr Teddy IK Obey has predicted total collapse of the zone into the NDC ahead of the 2027 general elections, adding that those working to effect the political change have concluded all arrangements and as well, set to make it open in few weeks.
According to him, the reason for the political alignment and total collapse into the NDC was to realize its political ambition and asist in the project of rescueing Nigeria from the shackles of the insensitive APC administration in Nigeria.
He warned Nigerians against accepting gratification from corrupt leaders in place of good governance and sustainable economy, predicting economic recession should Nigerians compromise.
"Today, the message in the mouth of every serious minded Nigerian is to rescue our country from political hijackers. The only way to realize that is for everyone to be reasonable and shun financial gratification from corrupt leaders who would attempt to buy their way during election".
He expressed regret how the current ruling APC has neglected the people of the Southeast by failing to provide good road network, quality infrastructure.
"It is absurd to inform us that during the first and second phases of rail way construction by the federal government through the ministry of transportation, the Southeast was obviously omitted from the zones captured in the project. This is indeed a confirmation that the APC has total hatred on Ndigbo and the zone"
He assured that NDC would do its best to correct the anomaly once its the mantle of leadership in 2027, and urged the people of the zone to utilize the opportunity of E-registration to join the party.
